I just started experimenting with a new way to turn natural objects into metal jewelry components-- electroforming. In this process items coated with conductive paint are suspended in a solution and layers of copper slowly build up due to low-voltage electricity.
I recently heard about the 251 Club of Vermont on the Happy Vermont podcast and was intrigued. Members of the 251 Club can decide the manner of their visit to all 251 towns in Vermont, such as photographing the post office in each town or riding through by bicycle. Because I am using natural materials for my Vermento pieces, I am challenging myself to collect something to incorporate from all 251 towns.
